The Resilient Destinations Foundation (RDF)was born from the coming together of two complementary journeys—The Blue Yonder’s on-ground experience in repurposing tourism systems during crises, and EQUINOCT’s expertise in climate science, data, and anticipatory intelligence. Together, they recognised that meaningful climate action requires integrated, destination-level systems rather than isolated efforts. RDF works as a bridge—connecting tourism with humanitarian response, science with community knowledge, and local action with global systems—to co-create Climate Resilient and Climate Responsible Destinations (CRCRD). As climate risks intensify, RDF is building scalable pathways through frameworks like CRCRD and platforms like KAITHA to enable collaboration, strengthen preparedness, and transform vulnerable places into resilient, regenerative, and livable systems for the future.
