Solo guitar, TriOblique, DuOblique, Raìs, and her work in theatre and documentary are not side projects. They are tributaries of a single practice that began on the streets of Genoa in 2013 and has kept moving ever since — through balfolk dance floors, small theatres, and rural documentary landscapes.

Projects do not look like abrupt reinventions in Roncallo's career. They resemble tributaries: solo guitar, song, theatre, documentary and dance flowing alongside one another, occasionally meeting, never cancelling what came before.

Solo: Susanna Roncallo
Active since 2013. Original composition for acoustic guitar and occasional voice, built on fingerstyle writing that holds bass, rhythm, and melody together as one instrumental voice.
TriOblique
Balfolk trio with Aurélien Congrega and Dario Gisotti, active since 2018. Acoustic guitar, Irish bouzouki, uilleann pipes, whistles, and voices; released Danse Avec Les Renards in 2022 and has appeared on international balfolk circuits.
DuOblique
Duo with Aurélien Congrega, active since 2022. Voices, bouzouki, and guitar built around traditional French dance forms, vocal polyphony, and instrumental composition; the duo also offers workshops.
Raìs
Described as a "concerto poetico solare," active since 2025, with Livia Taruffi on narration and voice and Rémi Boniface on violin, diatonic accordion, and hurdy-gurdy, alongside Roncallo's acoustic guitar and voice.

Beyond the Concert Stage

Roncallo's guitar has repeatedly entered other people's stories. In La solitudine dell'ape (2012), a theatrical monologue built with Alessandro Hellmann, Andrea Pierdicca, Antonio Tancredi, and Paolo E. Archetti Maestri, she provided live musical accompaniment to actor Andrea Pierdicca's performance — a work addressing bees, ecological decline, and harmful agricultural systems.

In 2014, the Transumanza Tour documentary, directed by Valerio Gnesini with Valentina Damiani and featuring Vito e le Orchestrine, connected her music to people, sheep, nature, rural culture, and forms of "good agriculture." Both projects show the same instinct: the guitar deepening a narrative rather than competing with it.
