Two Pathways to Partnership

The GCTN serves two distinct audiences working toward the same goal — community-powered tourism that benefits people and places.

Community Tourism Enterprises
Non-profit organizations, social enterprises, and community-owned associations working in sustainable tourism can apply for GCTN membership. We welcome enterprises offering tours, cultural experiences, handicrafts, accommodations, meals, and other community-based offerings. Members gain access to market partners, grant funding, training, and a global peer network.
Travel Partners
Tour operators and travel companies seeking to integrate authentic community tourism experiences into their itineraries can partner with the network. Integration partners like G Adventures, Evaneos, and others connect travellers directly with community enterprises through included or pre-sold optional experiences across multiple trip styles.

DEŠA is a civil society organization that has been empowering women since 1993 and has educated more than 10,000 beneficiaries. Through GCTN membership, they connected with G Adventures and now welcome travellers to learn about their impact through artisan workshops, educational talks, and a handmade products shop.

Quichua Native Travel in Ecuador joined the network to connect with other organizations working in community tourism, access learning resources and mentorship, and gain access to market partners. Within months of joining, they achieved integration with G Adventures and Evaneos, bringing sustainable tourism income to indigenous Kichwa communities.
