Fourdecadesacrosspeople,place,ideas,andtheworkofmakingthingshappen.

Chris Doyle has spent more than four decades working across communications, the outdoors, tourism, destination development, community, international collaboration, and now collaborative intelligence. Different settings, but a consistent thread: understanding what matters, connecting people and ideas, and helping promising possibilities move toward practical action.

The Playgrounds

Six environments where the same pattern keeps showing up — not separate careers, but one recurring way of working.

Tourism & Destinations
Responsible and adventure tourism, emerging destinations, community-based approaches, and destination stewardship across the globe.
Outdoor Recreation & Industry
Human-powered recreation, outdoor retail, gear and apparel, brand, and the long-standing bridge between outdoor culture and tourism.
Communications & Narrative
Journalism, public relations, brand strategy, and translating complex ideas into language people actually use.
Convening & Community
Global summits, regional gatherings, facilitation, stakeholder alignment, and the networks where people learn together.
Innovation & Systems
Cross-sector experimentation, collaborative intelligence, AI, digital humanism, and the practical design of better coordination.
Regeneration & Stewardship
People-and-place relationships, ecological recovery, dark skies, rewilding, and reciprocal value.

The Throughline

I've never worked particularly well inside neat boxes. Tourism led to communities. The outdoors led to stewardship. Communications led to convening. Technology led back to questions about people, ownership, relationships, and what intelligence is actually for. The connections have always been more interesting than the categories.
Chris Doyle

Chris sees relationships among people, ideas, places, sectors, and systems — helping people find common ground, turning complexity into something understandable, and pushing promising ideas toward practical action.

Currently: coOwn

Chris's career has long centered on collaboration, continuity, and turning good intent into coordinated action. coOwn gives that way of working a new infrastructure layer: knowledge that stays alive, relationships that retain context, and AI that supports human judgment rather than replacing it.

Much of what you're experiencing here is possible because CMD Inspired now operates on coOwn — collaborative intelligence infrastructure Chris has helped shape and now works on full-time.

What Brought You Here?
