TheGathering

20-21 October 2026 · Wild Nature Farm · Rennesøy, Norway

Two days of remembering - where ancestral wisdom meets living land, and community gathers in reverence for the earth beneath our feet.

Ancient Wisdom for a Shared Future

What happens when ancestral wisdom, local knowledge and changemakers meet - not simply to talk about change, but to practise it?

For many years, humanity has been seeking ways to respond to the environmental and ecological challenges we face. We have been trying to fix the climate and ecological crisis with solutions of the Western mindset, ignoring the vast ancestral wisdom Indigenous people hold in living in deep connection with nature.

We look at problems with numbers and data and try to fix them with quick solutions based on the mindset of Western science. However, on a deeper level, the environmental crisis is the result of a spiritual crisis.

This gathering is bringing together the voices of ancestral people to listen and to experience the wisdom of indigenous elders. Together with Yawanawá wisdom keepers from the Brazilian Amazon, we’ll spend two days learning with one another and with the land, through ancestral teachings, shared meals, cultural practice, conversation and hands-on work - and with the possibility of being invited to extended programs in the following days.

Join us for this two-day experience, with the possibility of being invited to extended programs in the following days.

The Spirit of the Gathering

This gathering is an invitation to slow down and listen - to each other, to the Earth, and to the wisdom that lives beyond noise and urgency. It is a space for presence, reflection, and meaningful exchange between people carrying different traditions, experiences, and ways of seeing the world.

Across conversations, cultural activities, art, and shared moments, we are exploring how to rebuild relationships rooted in respect, reciprocity, and care. The gathering creates space for connection across cultures and generations, honouring both ancient knowledge and the emergence of new possibilities for humanity.

At its heart, the gathering is about remembering that transformation begins in community. By coming together with humility, openness, and intention, we hope to strengthen a living network of people committed to nurturing life, protecting what is sacred, and imagining futures grounded in harmony rather than separation.

Based in Switzerland, with partners from across the globe, coOwn is an intelligent infrastructure. We invite people, communities, and organizations to own their digital presence, collaborate, and deploy curated AI Brains, with provenance, attribution, and value designed to flow back to contributors rather than being extracted by a central platform. Together, we are building a human-centred commons that awakens capacity, connects opportunity, and fuels a regenerative loop.

Respectful Participation

This gathering is rooted in openness, humility, and mutual respect. We invite all participants to arrive with a willingness to listen deeply, engage thoughtfully, and honour the different traditions, cultures, and experiences being shared throughout the gathering.

Many moments during the gathering may include prayer, wisdom sharing or ancestral practices. We ask participants to approach these spaces with care and respect, following guidance from Indigenous elders and facilitators where appropriate.

We also ask everyone to care for the land and shared spaces during the gathering. Photography, filming, or audio recording should only take place with clear consent, especially during cultural traditions or personal moments of sharing.

To create a safe space, this gathering is by application only. It's a circle we're building person by person - changemakers, wisdom keepers, community stewards, artists, educators, and innovators united around a common goal: to unite ancestral wisdom and local knowledge to create change.

Join the Gathering

This is your invitation to join the Community Hub, a shared space for everyone joining the gathering to stay connected before, during, and after the event. Ask questions, connect with other participants, share ideas, and begin building relationships before arriving.
