Dive into ASSATA's

pop-up library

The doors are open. At Rogaland Kunstsenter.

Welcome In

ASSATA is a publishing house and curated library dedicated to decolonization and critical analysis of the systems we live under. The pop-up library at Rogaland Kunstsenter is an extension of this work: an open and inclusive space for those looking to explore radical ideas, intersectionality, and collective action. Whether you're an activist, student, artist, or simply want to learn more, the pop-up library offers a unique collection of books, as well as a space for discussion, reflection and community.

About ASSATA

Through study, community and dialogue, ASSATA amplifies voices that have historically been excluded, creating a refuge for learning, organizing, and change. The library is named after Assata Shakur, former member of the Black Liberation Army, and was founded in Oslo in 2021. It is not a space for passive observation, but a living collection of thoughts, ideas, solidarity, co-creation, and political action.
