The Living Charter
Claim your Freedom, Become the Commons
A Declaration for Regenerative Citizenship in the Digital Commons
We recognize that every human has stories, wisdom, and creativity that hold deep value and meaning.
We acknowledge that often these stories, ideas, and relationships have been treated simply as things to own, sell, or control, instead of being respected as part of our shared humanity.
Today, we choose another way.
We choose to gently shift from a mindset of ownership to one of collective stewardship and shared responsibility. We do not claim to have all answers, but we commit ourselves to seeking better questions, together.
By signing this declaration, I humbly commit myself to:
• Personal Sovereignty:
I take gentle ownership of my stories, experiences, ideas, and data, deciding thoughtfully how they’re shared and stewarded.
• Collective Stewardship:
I respect, nurture, and care for the spaces, communities, and ecosystems—digital, cultural, ecological—that we all share.
• Trust & Connection:
I strive to build meaningful and respectful relationships, believing trust is the foundation of a regenerative future.
• Open Collaboration:
I share my insights openly, welcome others' contributions warmly, and choose cooperation over competition.
• Regenerative Action:
I commit to actions and interactions that support healing, inclusion, and renewal—for people, communities, and the planet. (I strive for my actions to benefit people, culture, and planet.)
This declaration is a beginning, not an end—an open invitation for us all to contribute our voices, perspectives, and hearts, evolving it together as a living charter for our shared future.
Let us gently and humbly step forward together—into stewardship, trust, and regeneration.
